Why Not, it should be about I
There are those people, you know the ones ?, who seem to have it all, the lifestyle, the holidays and are attending all their kid’s events. When you listen to the backstory, they started in some scheme where they were using a product and begun to share it with family and friends. Now they are living the life, doing what they love.
Network marketing is here and building in popularity as people begin to take back control of their lives, establish passive incomes, find gratification in helping people and get to go on some of the most fantastic holidays with exceptional teammates (my Australianism for you).
If you have been curious about what network marketers do, how they impact other people’s lives and what it will take to build a business on the side that works with what you are currently doing, then taking two minutes a day watching this free broadcast could change your life.
Confessions of a Network Marketer is broadcast live on Periscope Daily and SNAPChat. You will experience from the inside heartaches, triumphs, challenges & “learn opportunities” (aka Breakthroughs) as a new network marketing business kicks off.
It Should be about I
Recently; I was fortunate to have attended Tony Robbins Date with Destiny event, here on the Queensland’s sunny Gold Coast – Australia. I have attended this event in the past, there was some expectation there will be a few of interventions that Tony does which, many of us can take away from and learn if your open to it. This year, many of the interventions were people who were focused on their self (I) and not seeing the beauty of what was around them, the people, experiences & that life was happening for them not to them.
I’ll come back to that shortly.
When “I” started to rebuild A World that Works initially it was all about me. I was building the platform as a way of promoting blog articles as a form of attraction marketing. The focus of the site was very linear in its purpose and focus. The more time spent exploring options of how it could assist people, the more it became evident that the site was attracting a team of like-minded that shared similar interests; plus as I began to reach out to people close me, they each had a skill set the compliments the team and wanted to contribute in different ways. I noticed my “stress” decreased as I found a more empowering meaning for developing A World that Works.
A friend, Andy, who is in a similar place in life, came on board as a co-founder. This led to adding to the purpose of the site giving value back into the network marketing and small business community through blogs articles and providing training martial, to also where like-minds come together building multiple streams of income using a variety of avenues.
What I learnt from this experience is that there is so much power in thinking of the “we” when building your purpose for a business/ platform. When focused on the “I”, it was incredibly limiting. This refocused working with new team reps coming onboard, a few get focused on going it alone (no surprise that I did ?) either not going the distance and stopping network marketing or returning back to their upline to get direction building their business. My mental shift has helped change my approach toward the training our team receive when they come on-board so they reach their goals sooner.
Back to Tony Robbins.
While the self or the “I” in the context of this blog article, is apart of life and there are times when we need to be focused on ourselves, however, if we continue to live there in the workplace, relationships or with our friends we tend to experience pain and discomfort. As Tony worked through the intervention, sometimes last an hour or two, with these people, I was astounded to see how more relaxed, happy and joyous these people became as they began to attach a new meaning to their event.
There were 3 key elements to his interventions which I had used for refocusing A World that Works
- What am I focused on?
- What does it mean?
- What am I going to do about it?

P.S. Network Marketing provided me with great experiences where I developed new and exciting skills. This lead me to develop Nurse Your Dream. Check it out.
